A Rich Man and His Slave | Kindness Never Goes Unrewarded
Once upon a time there lived a very rich man. He had a slave who was very obedient and loyal to him. But this man was very cruel. The slave was also fed up with the cruelty of his master that he decided to run away to a jungle.
Once he got a chance and reached a jungle. Being tired, he lay down for rest. Suddenly he heard a lion roaring and crying with pain. The lion was so close to him that he could not run away. The lion was striking its paw on the ground again and again. There was a big thorn in it. The slave took pity on the lion. He took out the thorn. The lion heaved a sigh of relief and went away.
One day the rich man complained against his slave. The king flew into a rage and ordered his soldiers to arrest him. After a constant struggle, the slave was arrested. The king ordered his soldiers to throw him before a hungry lion. On the day of execution, the people came to enjoy the scene. When the lion saw the slave, he started linking his hands. He did not kill him. Everyone was surprised at the lion. It was the same lion whom the slave had helped in the jungle. The king and the rich man were so impressed that they forgave him and set him free.
