A Thirsty Crow | Necessity is the Mother of Invention

Once upon a time, there was a crow. He was feeling very thirsty. He flew here and there in search of water. But he could not find it anywhere. He was dead tired. At last, he reached a garden. He was very sad. All of a sudden he saw a pitcher there. His joy knew no bounds. He at once flew to it but it had a little water. He tried his best to drink water but his beak could not reach it. He began to think over the problem. At last, he hit upon a plan. There were small pebbles lying in the garden. He flew and returned with a small pebble in his beak. He dropped it into the water and flew to bring another pebble. In this way, he brought the pebbles one by one and dropped them into the pitcher. His effort bore fruit. The water rose up. Now his beak could reach it easily. He drank water to his heart’s content and flew away merrily.
