A Foolish Stag | All That Glitters is Not Gold

Once upon a time, a stag lived in the forest. He was very thirsty. He went to a stream to quench his thirst. The water in the stream was clear. While drinking water, he saw his reflection. First, he looked at his beautiful horns, He admired them very much. He caught sight of his legs. He felt sorry for having so thin ugly legs.

Soon he heard the sound of dogs. He was filled with fear for his life. he ran very fast to save his life. He was soon out of sight. While he was running, through a thick forest. He hid in a bush to save his life. His beautiful horns tuck into the bush. After a short time, the dogs reach the bushes. The stag tried his best to get rid of the thick thorny bush. But the dogs jumped over him, they tore him into pieces. His thin ugly legs carried him away from the dangerous dogs but the beautiful horns caused his death.

Possible Moral:

• Pride hath a fall.
• Not find fault with the ways of God.
• Appearances are often deceptive.
